Howard graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting with a composite minor in business and military science. After graduation he served in the US military as an Army officer for four years and was honorably discharged. One of his extra duties was serving as the battalion tax officer. In August 2011, Howard completed the professional licensing requirements and became an enrolled agent. Enrolled agents (EAs) are America’s Tax Experts. EAs are the only federally licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation. Only enrolled agents, attorneys, and CPAs have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS. His major areas of professional interest are tax resolution, military, and expatriate tax issues. He realizes that sometimes bad things happen to good people and it is easy for good hardworking Americans to fall behind on their taxes. Some of Howard’s life experiences include living in Germany for nearly twenty years. He has traveled throughout Western Europe. He met his wife, Marie, in Frankfurt, Germany while serving in the military. Marie is a native of Bountiful, Utah. Howard and Marie are the proud parents of three children and seven little granddaughters all living in Germany.
